This ritual can be done anytime during the first couple weeks of spring, but is especially potent during the week of the Spring Equinox which falls on March 20th this year (2019). It does require some pre-planning, although you could do this all "symbolically" with visualization.
Gather your materials around you so you can go right into the exercise after your meditation.
Sit quietly and allow your energy to settle into the magic of opening up your ritual. Call in your angels and guides to support you and be with you through this practice.
Set the intention for three words to come to you that you want to cultivate this season. What do you want to have bloom in your life?
Write those three words down.
Each succulent represents the words that you are welcoming into your life.
Before you transplant the succulents into your terra cotta pot, unleash your creativity and paint the pot in a way that embodies the words you chose. Whether that is going crazy with color or simply painting the words on the front, trust yourself and remember- it's not supposed to be perfect!
Prepare your terra cotta pot with the organic potting soil. As you put the soil in, think about how grateful you are for mother earth. Feel the love from your heart, travel through your hands and into the soil.
One by one, hold the succulent in your hands and think about the word you've assigned to that succulent. As you plant the succulent, think about what the word embodied and manifested into your life looks like.
As you continue to care for your succulents, you'll be caring for your dreams. Take time daily to ground in their energy and hope for what is ahead.
March tends to get a bad reputation. The temperature varies from 55 degrees to 25 degrees, the trees are bare, the ground is muddy. Everyone is just ready for summer when the sun is out, the flowers are colorful and everything is green.
But, there's something really beautiful about the moments before winter turns to spring.
The trees stand with their bones fully exposed. They hide nothing. The roots grow beneath the surface despite nothing to show for it quite yet.
Today the woods called to me. An unexpected ritual unfolded and I understood exactly why I was called there.
As I ventured deeper down the trail, my soul whispered for me to be still for a moment.
I stood and took in the view when I could feel the energy beginning to pulsate under my feet. The energy of gaia rising, so I welcomed her in. With each breath, I invited the energy up through my body, into each chakra and every cell. After, I felt immediately drawn to this incredibly tall tree. I embraced her. Hugging her, wrapping my arms as far as they could go. From my heart space, my energy began to cycle with the energy of the tree. I could feel myself truly re-calibrating with mother nature. I asked her to share any wisdom she had for me, thanked her, and continued on my hike.
As I looked around, it dawned on me how vulnerable nature is at this time yet it holds no shame about it's vulnerability. There's something beautiful about seeing the bones before the beauty. There's something empowering about seeing the foundation with admiration yet having no idea of the final outcome. The end of winter and beginning of Spring is when the strongest of the strong are on finally seen. The harshest of conditions and yet they're still standing.
We are this beautiful at this part of our journeys, our internal cycles as well. Let your vulnerable side be seen, it is your strongest side. Go for a spring hike to remind of you this. See your reflection in nature around you.
For this ritual, all you need is yourself and a hiking trail.
At the start of the hike, welcome in your angels and guides to join you.
Walk until you feel the spot where you are meant to pull up the energy of gaia.
When you find this spot, take in the scenery and begin deep breathing.
Visualize the roots growing up from gaia and into the bottoms of your feet.
As you continue breathing, bring the energy up into your entire body.
Stay in this place as long as you desire.
After, find a tree that you feel drawn to. Embrace it, offer your love through your heart center and ask that it share any wisdom it has to offer.
Stay in this place as long as you desire.
Continue your hike mindfully, keeping your phone away, and seeing what guidance or wisdom comes through as you end your time outside.
At the end of your hike, thank your angels, guides, and mother earth.
1. Setting Your Vibe Point
Before you dive into content creation or directly working with a client or customer, it's important to set your vibe point to match your desired feelings.
As you start your day, sit in silence for a few moments. Feel your breath as you inhale and exhale. Place your hands on your stomach, over your solar plexus chakra. Breathe into this space and feel your power center charging and expanding. The magic and potential for all you have to offer today, building up and rising.
If you have a deck of cards, now would be a beautiful time to pull a single card for guidance on the day.
Recommended Oils: Frankincense, Rose, Melissa
2. Get Sh!t Done
What part of your business do you avoid the most or that causes you the most anxiety/worry/annoyance, etc.? This is when this ritual comes into play.
First, sit with your feelings about the task at hand. Identify the primary undesired feeling and rate it on a scale of 1-10 (1 being nonexistent, 10 being all encompassing).
Using the four fingers of your non-dominant hand, begin to tap on the side of your dominant hand where your pinky is (often referred to as the karate chop point) and state the affirmation, "Even though I feel (emotion), I am badass spiritual boss babe who knows her stuff." After a few rounds, switch hands and repeat.
Do this for a few minutes and check back in, are you still at the same number? Hopefully you have reduced the undesired feeling by at least one rating.
Now, think about how you will feel when the task is done. Accomplished? Proud? Relieved? Invincible?
Take that feeling and GO! Do the task. When you're done, do a little dance.
Recommended Oils: Lemon, InTune, Cypress
3. Cut Cords and Clear
After a long day of connecting and serving others, it's important clear all that energy from the day. Find a moment to sit in silence. Take note of any tension in your body or any feelings that arise and simply breathe through them.
Visualize the people you helped, talked to, things you did, etc. in a sphere happening in front of you. There are tons of energetic connections (cords) that keep you connected to all this energy. Set the intention to cut and clear these cords, to release any low vibrating energy from the day and reclaim any loving, positive energy you may have lost. Running your hands down the front of your body, visualize all those cords being cut and released. Do this a few times and imagine the sphere now becoming a white light.
Ask your angels and guides to remove any lingering energies and surrender any fears or worries from the day.
Recommended Oils: Tea Tree, Purify, Patchouli

New Year's has long been my favorite holiday. The promise of new beginnings, saying goodbye to the old. This ritual isn't just for new year's. It's for anytime you need that fresh start.
Here's What You'll Need:
Call on your angels and guides of the highest truth and compassion to be present with you throughout the ritual.
Set a timer for 15-30 minutes and allow yourself to reflect on all that's transpired. If you're doing this during the new year, perhaps this is when you think about the past year. If you're doing this because you need a fresh start, contemplate the experiences that led up to feeling the need for the fresh start. Don't hold back for this time. FEEL it. Let it all finally rise up to the surface and see what is all there. What are you ready to let go of?
Once the timer goes off, it's time to start the bath or shower. I encourage you to make your space as lovely as possible. Have a the single rose in the bathroom, candles, maybe a few crystals (that won't be hurt by the water).
If you have a way to, play Jai Jagdeesh Dhan Dhan- a chant for surrender, during the shower.
As you stand outside the shower, preparing to go in, set the intention to cleanse all that you let come to the surface.
Step into the shower and let it out. Let out a scream, several deep sighs, a heavy cry. As the water rinses down your body, your soul is being cleansed as well. All that you wished to let go of is being released with the water. When a negative thought or experience comes to your mind, repeat the affirmation, "I cleanse myself of this" and let it go.
Spend as much time here as you need. When you begin to feel the energetic shifts, mindfully finish your shower. Notice the way the water feels as it hits the back of your neck. Use a soap that smells incredible and makes your skin feel luxurious. Take note of the way you move your fingers as you cleanse your face. Before you turn the shower off, stand underneath for a moment and imagine the water is divine white light. A deep, final cleanse.
Once you get out of the shower, gently dry yourself off, but do not get dressed right away.
If you have essential oils that are safe to use on your body, such as doTERRA, now is when you will need them. If you do not have essential oils, follow the steps without the part of anointing with oils.
Frankincense and rose are two of the highest vibrating oils. Rose encourages us to see love and frankincense supports our truth.
Now that you are feeling deeply cleansed, it's time to bless the space you've created.
We will anoint each chakra with oils, your choice of Frankincense or Rose, diluted with fractionated coconut oil. If you don't have the oils, simply place your hand on the area of the chakra and imagine powerful white light coming through them.
Pick up the rose and hold it in front of your heart. Look at yourself in the mirror, a physical form of love and truth. Repeat the affirmation, out loud, to yourself, in front of the mirror: "I love you. You're complete. You're love. You're truth. All is well."
Now, indulge in some pampering yourself. Whether that means running a comb through your hair and letting it air dry or doing a complete manicure, pedicure, and styling your hair, it feels good to bring the beauty we've cultivated within, out.
If you feel called to, you may wish to end the ritual here or journal about your experience. What came up for you? What was the most powerful shift? What does this fresh start look like for you? What do the affirmations for each chakra mean to you?
May your 2019 be all that you desire and then some.
This solstice + full moon pair up is POWERFUL. Pay attention to your EMOTIONS over the weekend and remember that they are meant to guide you. This ritual will guide you in getting a clear understanding of what is and what is not serving you in your life.
Have on separate piece of paper for each prompt (*note you won't want to use your journal for this part*):
1. This is what is not serving my mind
2. This is what is not serving my body
3. This is what is not serving my soul
4. This is what is serving my mind
5. This is what is serving my body
6. This is what is serving my soul
Call on your angels and guides of the highest truth and compassion to be present with you now.
Spend time some time in meditation, surrounding yourself with white light, and once you feel that connection, pick up your pen and papers and use those prompts to automatic write. Remember, do not worry about grammar or spelling, just write.
If you need more prompting, you can include sections for "people, places, things, beliefs" under each prompt.
You may wish to pause and meditate between each prompt or when shifting into what is serving and what is not serving.
Now, take out your journal. When looking at your list of what is not serving you, what emotions come up? What guidance are these emotions giving you? What are they showing you about what you do and do not desire in your life?
Shift into the serving and ask the same question, when you look at your list of what is serving you, what emotions come up? What guidance are these emotions giving you? How can you cultivate more of these emotions in your life?
Hold the papers of what is not serving you in your hands and repeat this prayer (using the terms that resonate with you):
"Universe, I surrender all of this to you. I recognize now that none of this is serving me and I choose to release all of it. Please guide me to show myself compassion as I release these attachments, beliefs, and create space for what is serving me. I am eternally grateful. Thank you."
Now, destroy the papers. Burn them (safely). Rip them up. Bury them. Feel the release of not bringing this energy with you into the next year.
Hold the papers of what is serving you in your hands and repeat this prayer.
"Universe, I am grateful. I am blessed. Thank you, more please."
This papers you may wish to keep somewhere visible. Where you place your intention, you amplify the energy. So, constantly seeing reminders of what does serve you is powerful.
Let us know if you participated in this ritual and share your experience in the Sacred Self Care community!
The last new moon of 2018 and who better to help us reflect on our journey than Sagittarius.
In this ritual, you'll be guided to contemplate about the lessons you've learned and experiences that you'll cherish. Take a moment to gather the materials noted below and make sure you'll have some quiet, undisturbed time for yourself.
Don't think too hard about the crystal or card deck. Trust that your intuition is guiding you to the exact ones you need right now. Turn on your favorite playlist to listen to for getting into the energetic space of going within. If you don't have one, check out my Zen Vibes playlist on Spotify.
Find a place to sit and take a few deep breaths.
Call on your angels and guides who can most serve you now to be present with you.
On a safe, stable surface, place the four candles (unlit) in front of you in placement of the four directions (north, south, east, and west) with enough space in the middle for two cards and the crystal.
The crystal you chose represents the energy that is strongly with you as you close out 2018 and go forth into 2019. Take a moment to note in your journal which crystal you chose and why you think your intuition led you to that crystal.
Place the crystal in the center of the candle formation.
Draw a card using the prompt, "what do my angels and guides desire me to know most about the journey of this past year?" and place card with the crystal.
Light the candle that represents the South. Take some time to write down the obstacles you have overcome over the past year and the lessons you've learned from those obstacles.
Light the candle that represents the North. Reflect on the dreams and goals you had for the year, did you accomplish them? What are you most proud of from the year?
Light the candle that represents the West. Jot down all the gratitude you have for other people, places, things, experiences, etc.
Light the candle that represents the East. Go deep with the gratitude for all that is within you, the lessons you've learned, and why you are grateful.
With all the candles lit, take in all the light that you have created this year and are bringing forth with you in the year ahead. This has been a magical year and there is more good on the way. Draw one more card using the prompt, "what message do my angels and guides have for me about the year ahead?" and place in the circle.
Write down any final reflections you have from the ritual.
I encourage you to take a picture of your final spread with the candles, crystal, and card. Keep it to look back on throughout 2019. If you feel called to share on social media, please do so and tag me @chakrachelsie in your post and use #essentiallysacred.
