When we lean into our internal seasons and align with the seasons of mother earth, we tap into powerful parts of ourselves. We are meant to be cyclical creatures who fully experience the ebbs and flows of life.
The middle of February can be a difficult time of year. The holidays have passed, it may have felt like winter for a long time depending on where you are in the world, and you're already starting to rush the days to get into the next season.... What if we did this winter differently? What if we learned how to lean into winter and learn from her?
You wake up Saturday morning to the snow gently falling and grab yourself a cup of hot tea or coffee. The fireplace is already going, you listen to the crackling as you wrap yourself in a deliciously soft blanket and find a place to sit with a view of the mountains. It's been so long since you've had a morning to just sit and enjoy the view. Gratitude begins to fill your heart as you think about how this group of women already feels like sisters after last night's welcome circle. The private cook has prepared a warm breakfast that smells amazing. The aroma of maple syrup and pancakes wakes up everyone up who hasn't already started moving around. After breakfast, everyone gets together for a morning meditation.
This meditation brings us right to the space of hygge: a coziness of the soul. We take the energy from the meditation to a creative project. The table is filled with essential oils, dried flower petals and herbs, and crystals. Conversations about life and spirituality, laughter as more connections among all the women are made. After the creative project, everyone gathers around the fireplace for an intuitive journaling and card reading session. We bring awareness to what parts of ourselves are calling to be nurtured, where we are ready to expand, and how we can step more fully into our true selves.
We take a break from the inner work with a mindful eating experience like no other- a Chakra Soup Bar tasting! After lunch, a truly transformative afternoon begins. We'll get into small groups for some intimate energy work. Everyone will get a chance to enjoy each type of healing available. Rebecca Packard is an Emotion-Code, Body-Code practitioner who is extremely gifted at releasing trapped emotions. If you've never experienced this type of healing before, you are in for such a treat! I'll be providing a transcendental experience through intuitive reiki where the release and restructuring of our energetic narratives continues. In between the body code/emotion code and reiki, you'll get to ground and relax with a manicure, face masks, or maybe even a nap! After all the energy work is done, you find yourself with your journal or maybe some watercolors and allow yourself some time to process and ground in all the work that was just completed.
The rest of the evening is filled with rest and relaxation. We continue to fully lean in hygge. Moments of mindfulness while staring at the mountains or the fireplace. Truly understanding how much beauty there is to this season and learning how to slow down and warm the soul.
After dinner, we have a private show of music and comedy with Marisa Imon that will leave our cheeks hurting from smiling so much. It serves as yet another reminder of how much joy surrounds us when we take the time to unplug and share our gifts. The night ends with an exercise in gratitude and everyone basking in the amazing energy the day has created.
